Hi Richard;
According to my bathroom scale which I'm always
arguing with, the Sierra is between 32 to 34 pounds.
It's pretty much the same steel Joe Wright plays.
The wheelease case is about 17. The neat thing about
the case is that it has wheels on the bottom and a 2nd handle at the top so it's like using a dolly to transport the Sierra.
Where are you in Georgia? You can send me a private message if you want.
Regards, Greg |

great guitars, I remember back in a day when I just started with steel guitars back in Europe, I got hold of the Sierra catalog, with beautiful 12 string rosewood Sierra with gold plated tuners, these guitars were over $5,000.00 new, at that time I could only dream about having one, I believe even tho, these guitars are not all that popular, they are worth every penny people ask for them today... I also believe, Sierra went out of business because they were seriously over engineered , and way ahead of their time...wish someone would bring Sierras back to life, and start production again, not like i could afford one anyway lol

This guitar went home with me. I made the trip to see Greg on the Sunday of the 50th anniversary of the Selma March and fell in love with it. I have it with me in Panama City, Fl and getting used to it, coming from a Carter Starter, which I was able to sell in no time flat too.
It was a very long trip, up and back on the same day but, it was well worth it to me as I now have, for all intents and purposes, the last and best steel guitar I will most likely ever buy.
Believe me when I tell you, the pictures Greg posted did not do her justice, she is a heavy brute but a very beautiful girl. The color, fit and finish of this beaut could not have been better. Greg is an honest and thoughtful forum member and I would highly recommend you deal with him, if he ever posts another possible transaction on the forums.
Greg, it's been a pleasure. I will keep in touch with you to update my progress.
Kind Regards,

Didn't know anyone lived close by that played a U12 or knew anything about them. Most people here only play the standard 10 string E-9th and know nothing about anything else. _________________ I am currently running a Simmons SD10, Peavey Nashville 400 that's packing a 15" BW, Peavey Delta Fex effects processor, and a Match Box.
