Does anyone know why they are cancelling the worlds 2nd longest running radio show as of 3/28/15? What a shame. _________________ Emmons LeGrande SKH, Nashville 400, ME20, TC Electronics Flashback, Emmons bar, 1957 Gibson SJ 45,5 String Fender Jazz Bass, Telecastor, |

See the website link below. It says they expect to resume in May or June. Don't know what's going on with this, but I hope it is temporary as indicated. The Midnight Jamboree has always leaned toward traditional country acts and one of the few places left that you can sit down in a nice comfortable place and hear a music show. I especially enjoy it when they bring in the Texas acts like Darrell McCall and Justin Trevino. It's always been free to promote their store, but I'd gladly pay for the good shows they have. I played it once with Jimmy Martin and it was a fun gig to play.

my last trip to music valley, about 6 weeks ago, I noticed that either a house cleaning was in progress or something is up or down at the record shop. there had been only one live show, bluegrass for spbgma weekend and what was once a large inventory of classic records(cd's) and books was way down, most 'specially the books. fewer displays in the store also. like losin' that lovin' feelin'.
the weather was cold, a chill was in the air, inside.
i played the arcade opry in Ferriday last nite, a long, late drive home and not even a pre-recorded midnite jamboree. what a bummer....

How long has it been since the show has been performed at the Broadway location?
I attended my first Midnight Jamboree in early May of 1963. I got to meet Pete Drake that night.
