What do you do when you arrive at a distant gig only to discover your pedal board is at home? Well, that's what happened to me. So I screwed on the four legs to my e9th single neck Carter and was amaz d at how much I was able to play without pedals. Sure there was a lot of bar jumping from frets 1 to 3 to 8 to 10 to 13, but I really learned a lot about e9th non pedal.

I did that 2 years ago, but mine was worse. When I opened the case,
there was no legs, no rods or pedal board. It was only a 2 hour gig
at a restaurant with about 13 closet musicians, so I packed up and
drove the 40 miles back home. That was the worst thing I ever did.

Very brave Brian, I'm impressed!

So you didn't use any knees either? Man, those knees would sure help with minors and 7ths on that thing.
