It is a sad day to loose a great person and a great guitar builder!
My condolence's to the family and may Bud rest in peace!...

Just wanted to share my shock and sadness upon hearing of Bud's passing. As someone suggested earlier, except for his physical stature, Bud was a GIANT in all other respects. I am the proud owner of a number of those great Carters. I called Bud a few months ago an he was always so generous with his answers and suggestions. What a great loss, at least to us. He's up there with some of the best. What a HEAVENLY Steel Guitar convention must have been going on this past weekend. |

or mistaken identity, that is not
Bud in the picture above.
