Another one of my favorite Hawaiian tunes, just finished recording, a quick mix:

Beautifully done Doug. Is that tune going to be in your new song book that's coming out in the near future?

Thanks all, yes, this is another one for the new book. As usual, I underestimated the amount of time it would take to do the book and CD. "Life" keeps getting in the way! Cool

Thanks Doug, wonderful playing and arrangement.
One question: I always thought this song was called "Farewell Hawaii". Is My Tane the original title?

I never heard of "Farewell Hawaii", so I went to Youtube and listened to it... and it seems to be the same song, same melody and chords. Even the lyrics are similar, same themes.

I know it as "My Tane" and I have the sheet music, Copyright 1934, Johhny Noble. I first heard the song on a JB album.

Thank you for the clarification, Doug.
There are many European versions of this wonderful song.
Unfortunately the crappy production style of some of these versions is not Hawaiian at all,
even after giving it a different title: Farewell Hawaii.
