I have a raise on the 1st string of the C6 neck on my Mullen G2 D10. The string is tuned to "D". Should it be raised a half step to a "D#"? A whole step would be "E" and you already have that on the 2nd string. Or, should the string be tuned to a "G" instead of a "D".

I appreciate any suggestions that anyone can give me. I searched high & low and couldn't find one C6 copedent with a raise on the 1st string.

Thanks,
Ed McCollum

Buddy Emmons raises his first string from D to D#. That's good enough for me!

Here's a Chalker style riff using this change:

There's over 400 tabs on my site so I didn't take the time to dig all of the examples of this out. But this change can work a lot like the E9th 1st string F# to G change!

Thanks Jim & Greg! That's exactly what I needed to know! Those are great audio examples, Greg.

Thanks again,

Ed
