I just got a SXSW gig that is looking pretty interesting.
I'm playing steel and putting together a band for a release of a documentary about Tomi Fujiyama. She is a Japanese country star that has been around for a while. I got the CD and it has Paul Franklin playing some really beautiful stuff along with the rest of his crew.

This is what I like about SXSW. Every year I start out cranky about it and then something flies in from left field that is a total joy.

Very cool. I'm a bit relieved I'm not playing sxsw this year, but I'd be happy to do it for a gig like that!
