Did Emmons ever do this color mica or put decals over mica or is it something someone else done over the red mica aprons?

Looks to me like some kind of overlay or film. I don't think Emmons ever offered that color but it is very pretty.
That looks just like a guitar I used to own. Mine was red in front and back and gray on top. It was a a tone monster too, I should have kept it. Mine even had the pentab on E9th and single coil on C6th.

Maybe it was yours....
Remember anything else about it?
Serial number or year?

Mine was a late 80's but don't remember serial number or anything other than it was an 8 & 5. I traded it at St Louis for a new Legrand III, red.

So it probably just has decals over the red mica on the aprons?
