I took out an 2 old pickups (2 rows of adjustable set screws) and replaced them with Telonics 409's. The good side of all of this work is my sound did not change, the guitar sounds the same, just the way I like. The newer pickups seem solid and loud, (no more tapping the pickup with my bar to get it to work).

Great string separation and adjustable pole pieces, what more could you want?

Bobbie Seymour use to say that the pickup did not make a big difference, that each guitar has it's own voice. Here I would have to agree with him, unless the new pickup it totally different from the old one. 13,000 ohms vs 20,000 does make a difference.
