Hi forum folks, I've never used band in a box, and am wondering if the Realtracks can be slowed down at all? Does the sound quality suffer much?

thanks for any info, dave

Hi David,

Yes they can be used within a range with very little loss, assuming you are using them in the BIAB program. They are recorded at a particular tempo, ie; 85, but I often use them as low as 65 or up to around 100 with no noticeable degradation in quality. Its the engine within BIAB that allows this to happen.

Where bouts in Arizona?

Thanks Robert, that sounds promising. I may have to take the plunge. It looks like they have lots of different realtracks for country rhythms. I was thinking of trying one of those Beatbuddy drum pedals that are programmable, but they are around $300. Seems like the BIB is more versatile.

I'm in phoenix area off Elliot rd and I10. I see you're in AZ also. How long have you been playing PS?

Dunno if you'd actually call it playing, more like playing at it LOL.

I actually sold the PSG and and giving the laptop another try. My problem is too little time and not enough skill. I play mostly guitar and bass, some keys, but do a lot of songwriting and recording.

I'm in East Mesa, close to Fred Justice.

Let me know if you have any more questions.

Rob
