Topic: Modern Pulls on an Emmons p/p |

Hey guys I may be kickin a dead horse here ha ha but I was wondering if anyone had some detailed pictures of a changer and undercarriage of an Emmons p/p with some more modern set ups such as Franklin pedal or just multiple raises and lowers on a string. I know you can do multiple raises and long throws like the PF Pedal and other changes on a p/p cause many of you on here have them but I cant seem to find any pics of how its quite set up and was wondering if anybody had any? I have read Clems book and it was great for getting an understanding of the p/p and I have read many threads here about it but would like to visually see some ideas on these more complicated changes before I ever think about going down the road of full on changing any pedal set-ups (im a visual learner ha ha) any help would be greatly appreciated Thanks!

I got this idea from Clem on raising my 1st and 2nd strings on my PP. I made this part that attaches to 1 bell crank and raises both 1st and second strings. It is actually a second shaft where the primary pull on the first shaft get's a different leverage point on the bell crank on the second shaft. This way you can tune the 1st string normally as you would any other PP raise but it isn't a long throw on the knee lever.

Is there enough slack in the rod (arrowed red) to allow the 2nd string to drop a tone ?

Hi Richard,
I had to spend a little time getting it right but everything tunes out properly, even the whole tone lower. This has worked out well for me. |

| Awesome thank you this is exactly what I was looking for, I have the whole tone raise on the 1st string, and whole tone drop on the second but was looking to try this particular change eventually, might have to experiment with this when i get back from out on the road. Thanks for the pictures! Hopefully we get some more! |

| I think there are set screws on the ends of those barrels, locking the rods in place. |

| yes, but on a p/p the distances need to be adjustable with the collars. |

the distances are adjustable via the set screws located on each end. |

Lol@Chris.... Steve that looks like an awesome system you have on your P/P I have a good friend who plays a 69 P/P what would you charge to make a gizmo identical to yours?
