FYI at least as far as I can tell Gibson made the first Lap/Spanish double neck in the late 30s. Though it was based off an EH 150. I find this design based off the Console Grande much prettier. _________________ www.deluxe34.com lap steel stands, Clinesmith, Gibson Console Grande, Northwesterns, The Best Westerns

Could this possibly be the new Jr. Brown signature model? |

Interesting old thread, it would appear to be a trademark issue more than a design patented. Gibson did make one in the late 30s, so who's design is it?
Anyway "Gitsteel" seems to be Jr.'s trademark. _________________ www.deluxe34.com lap steel stands, Clinesmith, Gibson Console Grande, Northwesterns, The Best Westerns

Hi Ron, I met you at the DFW Steel show last week. Im trying to restore a Gibson Grande. Some of the metal hardware is missing and the rest is in such bad shape I want to replace it. Would you sell just the bridge hardware and the tuner hardware? Thanks, Ed |
