Looks great John, How did you find the results?? Do you have any sound or audio of you playing through the head and what size speakers/cabinets are you using with it? |

I like it real well. I'd put some sound up if I ever played well enough to not embarrass myself. Even with the lower powered tube on the input, I never run the volume much past 3. Even at that I have to roll back the volume on my Rickenbacker B6.
I'm running it into the 12" Black Widow that I took out of my 112 when I put the EPS 12 in.
I'm getting ready to put in a jack that will switch out it's preamp and let me plug in the output of my Revalation preamp to the input of the YBA-1's phase inverter and just use it as a power amp. As a bonus, I can run the output of the Traynor's preamp into the power amp input of the N112. Sounds like all kinds of fun to be had.
Next up on the bench is a YRM-1 Reverb Master that I picked up recently. It's been half a$$ed recapped, but needs some TLC and quality caps put into the audio and tone paths. Just need to get the chassis of the 1929 Atwater Kent model 55 back in its cabinet and I'll have all kinds of room on the bench! |

John- thanks very much for putting up this info. I have a YBA-1 and I experience the same things as you did. Hissy, hummy, wayyy bright, and crazy loud (can't run it past 2). The bright channel is just unusable.
So, your tweaks are most welcomed.
Any chance of getting a larger version of page 3 with the schematic and mods? It is too small to read.
Thanks!
