A great new book to follow up Volume One from a few years back (which Volume One has become extremely hard to find).
Written by Ruth White who has several music reference and history books to her credits.
I have read this book and found it a to be very informative, sometimes funny and at other times sad. A lot of it is referenced from Nashville Tennessee Steel Guitar Association "Legends" award recipient and long time Nashville steel guitarist: Howard White.
I believe this is a book that belongs in the library of every steel guitarist that wants to know all one can about the history of their instrument and life on the road in the "glory days of country music".
This book can be purchased online at: www.amazon.com or by sending $15.00 shipping included within the United States to:

I just finished reading "Every Highway out Of Nashville" By Ruth White. I think it is the best account of Country Music in the past. Though it was mostly about the life of Howard White, it covered so much more. I think that all Steel Players would enjoy it, especially the older ones. Bill Paisley |
