There are so many stories about Jim's great service that they are starting to get repetitive and boring. Nevertheless, I must sing his praises yet again.
First, I have to mention my recent purchase of the Quilter amp. At the time of the transaction, I had just over $700 in the bank. I also had sold a mandolin on E-bay, but it was still in transit, and the financial dust had not yet settled. There was no question that I'd have the money, it was just going to take 2 weeks.
Jim told me to take the amp home and send him a check after Pay Pal sent the funds to my bank. He didn't even ask for an IOU. He just trusted me.
Then, somehow, I managed to dislodge the stop on my zero pedal. I brought the guitar to Jim yesterday, (along with the $1,000 I owed him.) He tinkered with it for a few minutes, got the pedal working right, and didn't charge me for his labor.
Jim is a treasure. There's no other way to describe him. _________________ Please visit my web site and Soundcloud page and listen to the music posted there.

I know we often talk about the players we've lost and whom might "fill their shoes". My question would be the same in relation to Jim and his service to the PSG world.
People like Jim are few and far between, but I'm so thankful they're still around.
My best wishes to Jim, Billy Knowles, Lynn Stafford, and all the others that keep our "machine" going. Thank you for all you do. |

I will happily second that emotion.
Jim is a wonderful person, a friend, and a treasure for the community at large. _________________ I am affiliated with Quilter Laboratories. (www.quilterlabs.com) |

An ancient Chinese dude said 'He who doesn't trust won't be trusted.'
I've spoken with Jim; he sounded trustworthy, which come to think of it might make a pretty good steel mechanic. |

I placed an order with Jim which had errors. Jim corrected the errors before he sent the order - he was able to deduce what I needed instead of what I asked for.
It don't get any better'n that. |

This gives me a good feeling just knowing about his great, honest reputation. Back east here, in Virginia, we have Billy and Wanda Cooper, Coopers Music in Orange, Va. Who I have dealt with for years with the same honest results. It's so nice to know that Jim is also a great honest person who is easy to deal with. Thanks for posting this information about Jim. |

I too will add my thanks to Jim for his expertise. I ordered a part for my LG3 and it looked better than OE. The man is a perfectionist and a gentlemen also.

I would also like to add my thanks to Jim. A few years ago, I ordered a new Peavey 1501 replacement basket along with a neo magnet from Jim. He installed the neo magnet on the new basket and shipped it to me. The complete speaker assembly was quickly delivered in perfect condition. |

Jim went out of his way to help me get situated with a Quilter Steelaire rack-mount. He searched Craig's List for a suitable case which he directed me to once he had located one, and made additions to it in his shop. Thank you for everything you do Jim. Hopefully I will be back soon to buy a delay unit! _________________ My site |
