I HAVE AN OLDER MODEL EMMONS S-10. IN TRYING TO DETERMINE THE YEAR OF IT, THE ONLY NUMBER I CAN FIND STAMPED INTO THE CHANGER IS 473.
MY QUESTION IS, DOES ANYONE WITH MORE KNOWLEDGE OF THIS SUBJECT KNOW IF THIS COULD POSSIBLY BE THE SERIAL NUMBER.
EVERY SITE THAT I CAN FIND ON MY OWN HAS INFORMATION ON D-10'S BUT NONE ON THE S-10.
ANY INFORMATION WOULD BE MOST WELCOME.

Hey Tom,
Identifying which sort of a changer it had would be a good clue. (Wraparound, bolt-on, or splittail). I think there were more splittails than any kind, although I know there are some really sweet S-10 wraparounds floating around...

Well being new to the pedal steel and not having a clue as to the difference in the changers, I guess that I will spend tomorrow on my new quest for knowledge.

| ..if memory serves me, the serial number on my old Emmons S-10 was stamped into the inside of the end plate, not the changer...it was, I believe, a late 60's rosewood model, the number was 4 digits, one-three-something-something dash S.. |
