Steve.....where did you go?
I just read a thread about people being rippid off in deals on here. You contributed that you would never buy from a stranger . can't say as I blame you.
I realize to most of you, I'm new. But if anyone cares to ask in a private mail, I'll give my flea-bay name and you can check my 600 or better deals with 100% positive feed back. I also hang on reverb, and all the Hang
Outs Banjo reso and fiddle players HO's.
I have bought from a few members on here, while I may be a little forward when cornered I'm still a pretty nice guy. Just saying..
Cheers, Vinal B

I asked, because I wanted to know. Did I say I wanted the guitar? No. Did I say I LIKED the guitar? No. Were you vague, about what parts you had changed? EVEN TO THE POINT OF MIS-SPELLING "ALLEN?" You sure were. You got the wrong dude, dude.
Now, there's gonna be about 50 posts, calling me everything but a normal person. At least that'll keep this thing bumped up. You're welcome. |

This is a screaming deal. If I didn't already have something like this I wouldn't hesitate to pull the trigger.
Those Black Lightning even when stock can have an amazing sound. I am sure that the improvements make this a superb reso.
All the best on your sale.
Don't be afraid to be patient. I sold an amp a couple years ago and it didn't sell until after I took the ad down.

I don't doubt that Vinal's modified Black Lightning sounds good and is a good value, particularly for someone just starting out on the dobro.
I've come across a couple of Black Lightnings that have had some work done, and they sounded pretty good to me.
The only reason I'm posting is from the standpoint of one person's opinion is as valuable as another's and I'm just trying to be as diplomatic as possible:
In my opinion, of the five or six stock Black Lightnings I have played as new in stores, I never liked any of them.
But resonator guitars often benefit from parts upgrades and skilled setup work, so to reiterate, Vinal's modified Regal could very likely be a great way for one to get their feet wet in starting out on the resonator guitar. _________________ Mark |

Thanks for the kind words, from both of you.
I have had a couple Black Lightning's now and true, this one sounded muddy when I got it. but with the parts and time I put into it, it shines now. The first one I had came from a pro player out of NY state, and it had been gone over before I ever got to it. It sounded great. But it seems dobro is not for me. lap steel suits me better.
For one, I can put my headphones on and play just as loud as I want through the amp, don't bother any of the other noisemakers here in the house LOL.
This has to go soon, I've got it packed and waiting for a bus ticket out.
Thanks again guys.
