This probably don't count, but I raise my 9th string a half tone but then again I tune it to C# so that's how I get my D. I think that Winnie Winston raises his 9th string D to D# (Eb).....Have a good 'un....JH

I have that raise D-D# on 9th string on a lever on my S12extE9 and use it mostly for a nice dom9th w a 11th on top before resolving to an open Dom7th.
Use w A+B and play strings 9# 7 6# 5## let ring and play 4th string then play strings 9 8 6 5(no ped's/levers).
If you have an additional kneelever to try that on you might consider also raising 8th string E-F# together w 9th D-D#. Makes for some nice combinations w other pedals/levers.

Dave,
I had this change many years ago on my push pull. I liked it, but had to sacrifice it for other changes I liked better.
It opens up many possibilities and makes the use of the 9th string more useful IMO. There is in a music a bass line that moves between minor, 6th's and 7ths'. This can be done nice if one lowers the 9th string, and also raises it a half a tone (each).

I like it (9 D -> D#) but there are at least 5 more important knee levers for me. So if I have 6 knee levers, I use it.
I use the same lever to pull the high F# to G and G#. The 9th string provides the half stop.
I put it on the 2nd LKL. The primary LKL raises the E's to F. |

I raise my 7th and 9th strings a whole tone on my LKR-inside knee lever, and have been doing so since around 1980. It allows me to strum a major chord from string 3 to 10, for rhythm, or to prime two notes for Reggie Young guitar licks.

I also tune the 9th string to C# open, which gives me a E6 sound, then when I want I pull it up to a D with the same knee lever that drops the 2nd string to D or C#.......al

Indeed I DO raise my 9th D to an Eb.
I put it on originally so when in B6th mode I could strum across without the klank of the D, but I've found a few other places where it is nice to use in a melody

I have just tried this change on RKL
with 2 D# to E and 6 G# to F#
I may try the 9th a C# and see how I like that too. |

I had the s.9 D-Eb change many years ago on LKL, which also raised s.8 E-F. When used with p.1, it affords a lot of diatonic scale patterns since you've got Db-Eb-F-Gb-Ab on strings 10-6.
What I lost was the diminished chord utilizing the unchanged 9 string. Another trade-off. I don't raise s.9 anymore, maybe one day I will again.
