Hey everybody... I am uploading some new steel guitar videos and testing out a new camera. I haven't put any new videos up in a while, but am now starting to once again. I just turned 23 and am ready to get back to playing steel more.

Please let me know what you think Smile

I am also interested in doing more steel shows if anybody has any suggestions. The Lexington, KY show faded out so I really don't have many local shows to do other than Louisville and Chubby Howard's Show in Dayton each year.

good pickin' there. you ought to throw in the chorus structure, too, though. that's got the 3 and 6m in the second half.

Thanks Chris. I have 2 different versions of it, but didn't have access to both of them today so I went with the one I had programmed already. The other track has the other chords in it like the original version Smile

sounds great! what lick are you doing right at 56-57 seconds, it's super cool, the walk up right before seems to just be you climbing using strings 2 and 4, but then you do a sweet little lick at the 56-57 second mark. please share! haha

Wow!!! thank you all for your nice comments!!

Jordan, that is a neat little run. The walk up is with strings 2 and 4. Then I use strings 1, 3, and 4. I raise the first string to G# (twins in unison with the open 3rd string) and then use the C pedal rocking it (raising the 4th string). If you want I can do a quick video of that run and post it on youtube. It is really just a neat lick and you can throw it in a lot of times to change it up!

I love bringing up my 1st string. You can really get some unique runs with it. Notice how I kind of rock it too a lot of times bringing it about half way raised Smile

Thanks again!

Thanks Steven!

Sincere thanks to all of you who have watched my videos and gave comments...It really means a lot to me knowing that people are enjoying my playing. Every single comment and view means the world to me just because I know it is making someone happy. That's what music means to me and why it is so important to me. I am not in it for fame or to show off. I play because I love to play and God gave me the gift of music...

Thank you again for the kind words, the views, and the friendship!

more to come soon

-Chris Castle

Thank you all, again for your kind words. I am so glad that you are all enjoying my music and being so supportive. I have had many private messages asking about my camera that I am using and also about what effects I am using on my steel.

I am using the canon vixia rf52 camcorder for
these videos and am very pleased by how they are turning out.

For my steel, i am playing a derby, using a hilton VP, and playing through a Nashville 1000. I usually use a 112, but already had the 1000 in the house so I used it. I do not use any effects at all. It is just the lain set up and my hands.

Smile

if you have any other questions or request just let me know Smile

-Chris
