Does any one use split monitors for BIAB?

I do, Lyle. Not really for just BIAB, though. When building a song for one of my clients in the studio, I use a monitor just for the song structure with BIAB, with the other monitor for the recording software. 2 monitors is the way to go now days with how inexpensive they are. You don't have to get the same size (mine are 32" and 22").

However, if you have other software programs that work in conjunction with BIAB, split monitors are very useful. I use Garritan Jazz and Big Band with BIAB this way.

I use two monitor occasionally. I put my tracks on one and the words to my songs on the other. This way if I'm playing I can always see where I'm at in a song. With my son and I both playing along and singing with a combination of real tracks and midi , sometimes it helps. Smile
