Just found this video today from August:

What a fun show. We were in the bandstand at Lincoln Center opening for Emmy Lou. It is an honor to play with this band - check out Josh Block's fantastic drumming and be sure to stick around for the guitar solo starting around 5:30. That's Kelly Doyle. When I find these videos I just feel so grateful to play with these guys. |

Nice job on "Houston", Will (and not because it's my hometown).
I've been a big fan of yours ever since I had the radio on in the background one night and this rip roaring steel solo suddenly jumped out of the speaker. "Who's that?" You, with Robert Ellis playing "Coming Home." Yeah, it was public radio, but it should be on commercial radio too, IMHO.
For those that haven't heard it, solo is at 1:13:

Nice job. |

Sounds great Will! Nice vibrato... It was real pleasure meeting and playing with Robert & Josh when they were up here in burlington a couple years ago. |

Had the pleasure of meeting and watching/listening to Will & Robert (plus a tight band) in Orange Beach Alabama New Years Eve at Fischer's. These guys really did a super job playing for the crowd. Had a minute to meet Will & the group before their show (and interrupting their dinner; price of being a star!). I asked Robert what original tunes they were doing and he said, "we're doing all covers". These guys were true pros, playing what they knew would please the masses! Hope Johnny has y'all booked next year & maybe the next few New Years!!! That Rains sounded GREAT, with a very good operator at the helm!! Sure look forward to hearing your original stuff live! |

One of my favorite modern players. Great example of tasteful, creative playing along side interesting song. I would love to see this music become mainstream and influence other young musicians. |

Hey Will; when did Robert cut all his hair off?? Holy crap; that was a brave move...ha.
Hey ya'll sound great bro; I'm so proud of you my brother. Keep yelling when you are here in my town...one of these days; I can break away from the million things and we can chill.

Thanks so much y’all!
Tucker - I try not to play that record in my house cause my dog howls too loud when I do. I’d only been playing a couple months when we tracked that. Thanks for the kind words!
Tim - Great to meet you on NYE. We had a blast at Fischer’s and yes, I hope we will be back soon. We’ll go down to florbama and get a drink next time.
Bob and Ricky - Thanks y’all. Ricky yes, he cut his hair about 2 years ago, big change right? I’ll keep hollering, we’ll find some time one of these days. Thanks man. |
