"I Can't Stop Loving You" was written and composed by Don Gibson in 1957, for RCA Victor Records. It was released in 1958 as the B-side of "Oh, Lonesome Me" and became a double-sided country hit single. The song was made a world-wide hit, however, by Ray Charles in 1962.
This is a steel guitar version in the key of F. The pedal steel is a MSA Deluxe, playing the E9 neck. The lap steel is the Steelocaster, A6 tuning.
