D8 copedent question

I have a D8 with 4 pedals on the front neck and no pedals on the back neck. I have no idea what tuning to use. Any ideas?

I assume you mean 4 pedals and no knee levers

I would tune the front neck E9 w/ no chromatics (lo to hi)
B D E F# G# B E G#
P1 would pull E's to F
P2 would pull B's to C#
P3 would pull G#'s to A
P4 would pull E's to Eb

Back neck -- C6 with either C or F on the bottom -- F will give you a lot more chords
(lo to hi)
F A C E G A C E

That's what I'd do. There's a lot of music there. I'd miss having a D and F# in the upper register, but with only 4 pedals, this gives you the A+B, A+F, B+Eb combinations pretty easily without knee levers.

I've been using this on one of my Fender 400's. A6 TUNING, sometimes I'll tune the low A to G for a 13 chord. Or I may change pedal 3 & 4 for a song or two.

Larry´s suggestion looks good, but on the E9, I would insist on having a pedal that raises the high E to F#.

I would miss it too, but you have the A+B mi7 chord with the root on 7, the A pedal straight minor chord and the G#m7 with the E's lowered. I don't think I'd want to give up raising or lowering the E's. I would miss having a D up top more than the F#, but that's a personal preference. One more pedal or a single knee lever would really be useful.
