Thanks to Herb and Bill for the advise on the removal (or not)of tolex on my old amp. It's called a Nashville Pro Steel, by Gretsch, and I've had it for years (new in 1966). I dug it out the other day and man it sounds so good but looks like death warmed over, the grill is good but the tolex has got a lot of bumps and tears. anyway thanks for the advise. I'm going to have to think about this. Lee
