I am listing this guitar for a friend of mine that has no computer, and I will describe the guitar in the best way I can, with pics and documentation, it is teal green in color. As the title says, it is a Lashley LeGrande III that was purchased new in August of 1996, and was delivered in October of 1996. He is the original owner and it has only been used for work on the weekends since. It is a double 10 with 8 floor pedals and 4 knee levers. Both necks have counterforce and 2 leg stabilizers. It has one Q10 Single Coil pickup, and one 108N Humbucking pickup. Included with the guitar is a case, and a seat with built in Ibanez effects. The Ibanez is a stereo model, but one side is covered up in the case, so you only see one side in the pics. The asking price for all of the items mentioned and pictured is $4,300.00 and that will include shipping to the lower 48 states, any where else will need to be negotiated. I have a lot more pictures and would be happy to supply them upon request for any one that is seriously looking. As I really do not know anything at all about steel guitars, any interested parties will need to discuss the final arrangements, and any and all questions that you might have with the owner of the guitar. Please contact me and I can make arrangements for more pics if needed, and a discussion with the owner of the equipment for sale. Thank you for looking if you made it this far.

UPDATE:

I have spoken with the owner and there is a mistake in my listing. When he wrote down the info for the pickups, I did not fully understand his description. What is actually mounted in the guitar are two (2) “Emmons 108N Normal Single Position Series Humbucking" Pick ups. However there are other pickups that are included with the guitar. They are: (2) George L E-66 pickups, (1) Q10 String Single Coil pick up, and (1) 108N Single Position Humbucking pickup. So there are more pickups than I thought, I am sorry for the confusion.

UPDATE:

The seat and effects unit have sold locally, so it is no longer included with the sale. The price has been lowered to reflect this, and the new price for the guitar and case is now $4,100.00 and includes shipping as stated above.

UPDATE:

The owner contacted me this morning and has decided to lower the price, as he said he is just wanting to move it out of his house. The new price is $3,500 and this is his rock bottom price. The new lower price DOES NOT include shipping, however everything else in the listing is up to date.

Is there a price for just the guitar, case, and volume pedal?

Thanks,
Andy

Hello Andy,

I will be in touch with the owner later this afternoon, and I will certainly ask him. It is my understanding that he just wants to sell everything at one time, but it does not hurt to ask.

Ronnie was saying that '96 was a good year for Emmons guitars, and that this one is a good deal.
Interesting leg braces on this one too.

Those "leg stabilizers" are interesting. Did the guitar come with those from Emmons or are they a user fabricated artifice?

Also, you gotta love the "ordered in August, delivered in October" history.

Sorry I did not see the question until this morning. I believe that he said something about doing something to those, and I have a call into him to find out for sure. I should hear from him soon, and I will post back with the answer.

I have a response from the owner. He did make those for more stability. He only worked locally with the guitar, and only on the weekends. Those were left on the guitar always and he just took a blanket and covered over the neck and then loaded it into his vehicle that way so he did not have to break it down. He said that they come with the guitar and fit right in the case when removed. There is also a few other things that come with the guitar, as you can imagine over the years he has acquired, and tried different pickups etc, as mentioned in the original posting. There is a spare Emmons tone control plate that he said is completely wired. There is also at least (1) hex rod end connector, but thought there might be (2), and some pull rods. There is a spare grover tuning key for each side (1 left and 1 right) I believe he said that the guitar came stock with grovers, or he ordered it that way. There is also a bag of spare parts that he has accumulated over the years, and it will also be included. Basically a person that is interested will just need to talk with him direct for all of the spare part info.

I wonder if some guys believe that old story about the LG III's playing stiff? Is that why this guitar hasn't sold for $3500 yet? I have a D10 LG III black with 8&8 and it plays as good as any Legrande or BETTER! It's all in adjustment so if you're worried about that, don't be. This will make someone very happy to own and play it. Good luck with the sale....Bobby

I know the guy that owns this guitar and you won't find no better person to deal with. I also have seen and heard this guitar many times, it's like new and been very well taken care of and it sounds great. It's about a 99 out of a 100, won't find one in better shape than this unless it's new.

If the guitar was here in Missouri and I could see it, I would probably buy it.
