I found him!

I just got off the phone with Moon. I told him a lot of Forumites had missed him and were worried about him. He promised to post on here and let us know he was doing okay.

Sorry, guys.... I tried to post earlier, but had to log in to the new
system. I could not remember my pass word, so had to go thru the motions of getting a new one...
Yes, I have been reading a little on the forum, but only pedal steel. I now realize I should at least be reading some of these other threads...
Lee, I appreciate your calling long distance...heck, I didn't know
I had so many GOOD FRIENDS !!!
I still play my Carter a couple of times a week.I promise to get
on here and "chew the fat" with you guys....

Moon,
You played a big part in inspiring me to begin this great ride into the world of pedal steel when I was just a lurker. Please post and post often. Thanks again for the Fender help you gave when I began playing pedals.
Best,
Justin

Well, guys...
I appreciate you being interested in me. When my wife of 52
years passed away, I didn't have much interest in anything for a long time.
I am physically real good, I will be 76 in August. I still commercial fish here each summer for salmon and halibut.
I feel blessed that I can still get around. I know a lot of people younger than me that are a lot worse off.
I still have my Fender 400 and Carter S-10. I usually play
every couple of days here at home and still enjoy learning
a new lick, or playing the old stuff.
OK...
Just let you know I am still "kicking"...Very Happy

Very Happy Moon, good to see you are OK. Are you still living in the same place I came to see you about 4 years ago? How was the salmon run in the river near you? Also, how was the salmon run in the Keni this year? Boy, we caught some big salmon when we floated the river near you. Would love to come back in June and do some fishing. Your friend Keith Hilton Ozark, Missouri

Keith....Yes, we had good Salmon runs in both the Kasilof and Kenai rivers. One of my grandsons guides on the Kenai, and he had a real good year, catching a lot of big Kings and Silvers...
Yes, You should try another trip up here...

Moon,Here's our state song for you my friend.

Eight stars of gold on a field of blue
Alaska's flag may it mean to you,
the blue of the sea, the evening sky,
the mountain lakes, and the flow'rs nearby,
the gold of the early sourdough's dreams,
the precious gold of the hills and streams,
the brilliant stars in the northern sky,
the "Bear" - the "Dipper" - and, shining high,
the great North Star with its steady light,
over land and sea a beacon bright,
Alaska's flag - to Alaskans dear,
the simple flag of a last frontier.
Sad
