Some people do "make things with the quality they used to".
I just received two new cases for my Fender 1000 from Rob Anderson of Dunamis Designs; and they are of exceptional quality in every way.
This set of two matching cases are "tweed", like the originals, and have matching hardware. The clear handles are even lined with the tweed.
In constructing his instrument cases, Rob takes the care to make sure that they fit the instrument like a glove.
If you happen to have a good instrument with a "stinky old case", you owe it to yourself to contact Rob Anderson in Sherwood, WI at:

Rick,
I am interested in a new case for a T-8 Stringmaster I am restoring. Did your cases have the leather ends on them? I would like to have my old case duplicated as closely as possible.
Erv
P.S. The phone number you gave has too many digits. |

Erv, thanks for catching that typo. I have corrected the phone number.
No Erv, the new cases don't have the leather ends. I wanted the corners to have metal protectors. The leather of the old cases was badly beaten-up. The tweed I really like; but I personally did not like the leather and the "brass" hardware. The new hardware is chrome and stainless steel.
I have a 26" scale triple Stringmaster and Rob is building a new case for it also, in the same style as the Fender 1000 cases. Although they are not of the traditional style, I like these cases much better.

Rick,
I sent Rob an e-mail and he got back to me right away. He said that he was doing a triple Fender case right now. That must be yours. Is he going to put that compartment in it for the legs? My triple is also the long scale 26". He said that he had some pictures I could look at but so far don't have the address. When will your case be ready? I will like to hear how it turned out.

Erv,
I sent you an e-mail. Rob will begin work on my Stringmaster case soon.
This will be the fourth case he has constructed for me; and all are of exceptional quality.
