Switching Channels

Need some tech advice. ...
I have a Peavey Deuce VT series, 2 channels. The issue is i dont have a foot switch to change between channels. So when i want to use the 2nd channel i have to plug in to the 2nd input but its still running 1st channel as well. Is there a way to switch it to the second channel only with a foot switch?

Get an A to B footswitch. Run the guitar into the common port, and the A port to Channel 1, B port to Channel 2.
