Hi friends, I want to use 4 screw to put instead of the legs under the guitar while setting it up on a table. As it is not in metric so not easy to find in Italy , I need to know the inches size of the screws to use (7/16.... 15/32?????). Please can anybody help me? I think all my guitars are similar, Emmons, JCH and MSA. Thank you for your help. Hi Eugenio,
I believe the universal size for steel guitar legs in 1/2 in. X 13.

Is there a "universal" size? The ones on my old D10 are 3/4in. x 10. Eugenio, measure the diameter and count the number of threads per inch - 25mm is close enough to an inch for this purpose. _________________ Make sleeping dogs tell the truth!

The 1/2" X 13 is what I see on all the sites that are selling Pedal Steel Guitar legs. |

Jack, I'm sure you're right. My guitar is old and very solidly built throughout - I'm not surprised if 3/4" is seen as excessive nowadays. _________________ Make sleeping dogs tell the truth!

3/4" was used on the older non-pedal console steels. |

Would 4 hardwood dowels work for what you are wanting to do? Not necessary to screw in, just use a size with a close fit. I may not understand why you want to set it on a table but I assume to work on it? Perhaps not as we usually need to work on the undercarriage.

Yes, Jerry, i Will use The screw to put The guitar on a table to Work on it or to clean it, sometimes to chage the strings, in order to avoid guitar weight on the undercarriage parts. Of course when I need to work on the undercarriage I must overturn it.
