Rod, I plan to tune my dobro to a low "C" [e,c,g,c,g,c] 1 to 6th. And use the 6TH string "C' as a drown, It may work it may not, but I'll give it a try. |

I wish I could help but I have this arranged in D tuning for Weissenborn guitar so I don't think it's going to work
If it helps I posted a link to a YouTube video of my arrangement of this tune if nothing else maybe it'll give you some ideas
By the way, you have good taste in music. This is one of my very favorite gospel tunes!

Sorry about the misspelling of you name. I heard this song on U tub, the other night played on a Lap Steel, by Marc James, then I thought I heard it on a Weissenborn, but could not find it again. It is such a simple melody but so haunting, and the words, well they say it all. I do not read music, I can do Tap, but most of my life I have had to learn by ear.
You mentioned you had it in "D' with the Weissenborn, I could give that a try. What in the tuning on the Weissenborn. |
