I think they only made 7 or so of these guitars.
Would like to see pics of the bottom of the guitar.
If anyone has photos they could post or email me I would appreciate it!!

You are in luck, there is one at Steel Guitars of Nashville right in your hometown, can't get much better than that! |

Even though there were only a handful of them made, there are two versions of undercarriages. A few had stock SuperPro guts, as far as cranks & rods, and the others were like these shown below... The blue one used to belong to Jimmy Day, and the blonde one was Bobbe Seymour's.

I must say that Sho-Buds are about the prettiest steels out there...looking at the pictures on this thread confirms it....Oh and they sound Damn good too. I'm Glad one of the two steels I have is a 'Bud universal. It was a Pro 2 .. S-12 and converted to a universal. It's a Gumby head stock, tear drop levers, big pedals. I bought her in 1977, but she still plays sooooo sweetly

Sho-Bud steels are beautiful steels without a doubt! I love all Sho-Bud steels, but the Sho-Bud Super Pro and Super Pro II are my favorite Sho-Bud steels! |
