You know, you hear something played on an instrument other the pedal steel and you wonder,
can that be played on steel. Usually, not exactly, because each type of instrument has something,
that makes it uniquely different from every other type of instrument. If that were not the case,
there would be no need for more then one instrument. I believe we should try to play what we hear,
regardless of instrument. I believe by doing so, new and interesting things happen.
It can take you places you haven't been before.

That may or may not be the case in this instance, but by listening, this was born, hatched or maybe regurgitated.

As written, will require you raise the 7th string 1/2 tone and lower the 9th string 1/2 tone.
This is a movable pattern that can be played at each pedal down position. Try frets 5, 10 and 12.

Can't help it, I'm evil... Some of the guys that took off that 7th string raise are scratching their heads. "Hummmm, there was a use for that." Hahaha! I DID...

Lots of stuff in the bottom five, if you've got the that 7th string half tone raise, with those close string voicing's.

Thanks for the G lever lick.
I think the G lever is very much neglected on a 3x4.

Go folks!

Hello Scott,

The older Beginners Notes, are available on my One Drive here: https://onedrive.live.com/

For the last few years, about half of them, I've written directly into the forum posts. That is the only place they are available. Sometimes they come right out of my mind into the thread. Going to my steel only to check to make sure they work. Simple stuff(most of my writings), I can look at the tab and play in my head. Only wish I could play them as well on my steel. Haha!

Have a Happy and Great New Year!

Thanks Dick, I have the ones that were downloadable previously. I guess I'll go through the forum and copy them.
