I can't wait any longer, somebody's gotta' say sumpthin', so i'll take the floor....
last nite's midnite jamboree(12-27-14)was the best of the year and in a long, long time. if you missed it, you really missed some featured steel at the finger tips of mike Sweeney. and boy was it featured! not only was he at the bar, he raised the bar. please make mine a double.... Missourian, ike Johnson was the ring leader and did a fantastic job. a fabulous show as they would say in the big city and mike Sweeney was fantabulous....
thank you david mccormick.....

Jack, Mike is one of the unsung great players in the world of Steel guitar. Unless you are familiar with Nashville, he lives in the shadows.
Those of us who have heard him at steel shows and working around know his "Fantabulous" Talent.

I heard it and loved it. I even emailed Tommy White to find out who it was. Mike, I loved your C6th western swing rides. Truly great!!

My wife and I saw Mike this summer at the Nashville Palace and Roberts, and were just thrilled by his playing. He and his band mates were friendly and enthusiastic. Mr. Sweeney is definetly in the top tier of steel players, just incredible.

I've had the pleasure of seeing and hearing Mike play at several shows. He is fantastic on both E9 and C6.
I have several of his CDs and a video he made.
