String gauges t8

Could anyone recomend string gauges for a long scale stringmaster T8, E13, A6, and C6 tunings? I think its 26.6 scale.

For 26" scale you probably want to choose the thinnest option for each string.

Which C6 are you using (high E or high G)

Which of the many E13 variations?

I always get my strings from Newtone strings:

They make their own handwound strings up in Derbshire for a very reasonable price. Just tell them what gauges you want and they'll make them up into sets for you. Much easier than ordering lots of single strings or trying to find off the shelf sets.

They are very knowledgable about strings and very nice people to deal with.

I always get my Danno 6 string bass strings from them as well.

I must say that I have no connection whatsoever with the company other than as a satisfied customer.

Remember that string noise (as long as it's minimal) is an inerrant part of the sound..Tape wound or flatwound are usually too dead a sound. Personally I go for regular nickel wound, and I tend to go for the heaviest gauge possible. I find that the combination of round-wound and a taught string allow me to use subtle vibrato to increase perceived sustain..

ALSO be aware that Stainless wound strings can damage your steel bar. All wound strings just plain old fashioned 'Nickel Wound', NOT Stainless.

Here are my own gauges.

The reason the gauges for the same note on different necks is sometimes different, is to do with string tension balance and matching tonality..Particularly the tonality..
