I have a graphic EQ in my Zoom, one in my Boss VF-1 and one on my Power amp, none of them come close to the "simulated" dobro sound that the GE-7 gets.
So I bought another one (used) and off we go. Only a couple of songs a night but for $50 vs $100 who's counting.
I am going to try to use it with no verb or delay effects, thoughts. _________________ '70 D10 Black fatback Emmons PP, Hilton VP, BJS bars, Boss GE-7 for Dobro effect, Zoom MS50G, Stereo Steel amp, Telonics 15” speaker.

Agree that the GE-7 can give a credible dobro simulation.
Only complaint is mine's relatively noisy. Since the GE-7 has been in continuous production since 1981, it has undergone minor changes through the years. Perhaps the older ones are quieter than mine, which is only about 5-6 years old. |

That's all the "famed BoBro" was, a stock Boss GE7 Eq with the the faders staggered and then clipped off with wire cutters, then some decals to cover it all up. A brilliant marketing strategy though techincally I believe the Roland Corporation would of had a fit if they knew . |
