The Excelsior Americana Stereophonic looks like it was made by Sano. Probably made for accordian.

Great amps!
I had a Checkmate 50 w/ a 15" speaker...I wish I still had it.

The Excelsior does look like a Sano...

Shocked Shocked Shocked

The handle is bad and torn fabric/vinyl on most corners but it sounds real nice. I kept the original speaker but replaced it with one of higher wattage and beefier.

Made a vibrato foot switch out of shallow electrical box/cover I had sitting around. Also, reused the old 2-wire electrical cord for the foot switch and wired in 3-prong power cord.

Oh man, I miss my Checkmate 50! Mine had replacement speakers and it bore the scars of where someone had tried to wire in a tweeter.

GREAT tremolo on that thing.

Speaking of Sanos, here's mine. 15" CTS speaker with 2 6BQ5 fixed bias output tubes for about 18 watts, I think. I love the "Jackson Pollack" grill cloth. The Sano script was missing so I appropriated part of an Alfa Romeo script just to confuse people.
Great harmonica and lap steel amp.
