When I joined the Forum it took me a little while to get the hang of the SEARCH function. I now have around 10 folders of posts i've printed off (just in case the internet disappears!). What a wealth of information is there to be mined. I'd like to thank all who have contributed their knowledge.

Here's 3 songs I got to play with some friends earlier in the year.. (I'm still working on my vibrato.. )
Chloe

La Rosita

Mapuana

Chris on bass came up with the band name. I hope no one's offended. When pronounced with an irish accent it sounds like trio!
regards, Andy

Hi Andy, its tough with that level of background chat, but enjoyable all the same. Nice work. Its good to know those old tunes are being played "just down the road."

Nice job, Andy. I love Chloe. I guess I can say that Gabby Pahinui changed my life in some way.

hi David, i think i know your brother.. i'm assuming Ed is your brother and he is literally is "just down the road". i'm a good friend of Flash Sheedy's who can play wonderful steel behind any Hank Williams tune.

thanks Mike. i've owned 'Gabby Pahinui Hawaiian Band Vol 1' since the mid 70's after after getting into Ry Cooder's 'Chicken Skin Music' and discovering Gabby and Atta Isaacs. that record changed me forever.

Hi Andy, yep Ed's my brother. Flash is one hellova guitar player. Chicken Skin Music had a big effect on me too. If you are ever in Cairns, look me up.
