It's nice that they gave John's backup musician some attention. _________________ Carter D10 8p/8k, Dekley S10 3p/4k C6 setup,Regal RD40 Dobro, Recording King Professional Dobro, NV400, NV112,Ibanez Gio guitar, Epiphone SG Special (open D slide guitar) . Playing for 54 years and still counting. |

John is my all-time favorite player. In my eyes, everyone he played with and recorded with were just his backup band. _________________ Carter D10 8p/8k, Dekley S10 3p/4k C6 setup,Regal RD40 Dobro, Recording King Professional Dobro, NV400, NV112,Ibanez Gio guitar, Epiphone SG Special (open D slide guitar) . John and Lloyd co-equal for me. And I met and talked to John when we opened for Loretta. He'd never seen a Kline before. Long talk with Lloyd on the phone, mostly about Fingertips, as I'd just gotten my first, so we talked about his. |

What band was this. John? I think I've seen a picture on the Forum, they looked kind of Hippie. _________________ Fender Kingman, Sierra Crown D-10, Evans Amplifier, Soup Cube. |

That's the spirit. For now on every time I play I'm going to introduce the band as "My Backup Band" _________________ Jb in Ohio

JK,
That pic was of a much earlier Zappa-style band. Buy the time I opened for Loretta, I'd been in a straight-up Country band for 10 years at least. I did play some steel, banjo and dobro in that rock band though. Eclectic material!
