This steel belongs to a local friend that has decided to let it go. I offered to help him sell it for him but I didn't have a good feel for pricing a guitar like this.

I've since talked with Don Fritche and Dan Burnham at BMI and also a few Forumites here have weighed in privately and publicly.

I've taken a few photos of the guitar and have posted them below.

As you can see there are 9 pedals and 7 knee levers. There are 3 levers for the right knee that work both necks, 3 knee levers for the left knee that work the front neck and 1 (silver) knee lever for the left knee that works the back neck.

At the moment the guitar has a Day setup. The guitar is clean and in good condition overall. I just finished cleaning up the legs and installed new rubber tips on them. The case is solid and in good condition as well. Serial number is 0238 and Dan Burnham told me he thought the guitar was probably built in 1979.

Please note: Although it's in decent condition, the fret board for the C6 neck has come loose and needs reattaching. Dan told me they have new ones in stock at BMI for about $20. I can either reattach the fret board with double sided tape, or I can leave it as is and the new buyer can opt to buy a new one and install it themselves.

These guitars are relatively easy to work on and revise. If anyone is interested in it, please let me know and we'll try to work out a deal on the guitar either "as is", or with me revising the setup, etc. (for a cost yet to be determined).

Price: $1600.00 "as is" plus FedEx ground shipping.

I can accept PayPal, cashier's check, USPS money order, or personal check, if you're not in a hurry.

Lynn, give Don Fritche or Dan Burnham with BMI a call. Don probably built and sold it.

That guitar in clean workable condition is worth as much as any other D10 out there in my opinion , ive owned sho bud , msa and a few others and BMI was the one that i liked best , thats just me, other players will say something else im sure .BMI is not as popular as some others but just as good a guitar as any of the popular brands .

Lynn, a realistic figure would be $1600.00 to $1800.00 my opinion. The 11 string neck makes it a rare guitar but also would turn off many potential buyers. BMI has for years been a great bargain because it is a fine guitar but don't bring as much as other major makes. I edited my first post after realizing it has 9 and 7.
