The recent post concerning the proper pronunciation of Copedent is what brought this topic to mind.

How about it? Are there some other mispronunciations associated with the Steel Guitar (ie. manufacturers/products/players/jargon)?

Example:
I've heard Fulawka pronounced two different ways, one in which the "w" was silent. Or what about "Fessenden"...? Is Fes'-sen-den or Fes-sen'-den?

Attention Terry Wendt, this topic may be a good filler for our magazine.

Respectfully,

In Australia the correct pronunciation of the letter "z" is "zed" not "zee" which puts Zane Beck's ZB guitar in a peculiar place!!! Of, course "zee bee" is the correct pronunciation ... thank god Zane wasn't Australian.

What do you say to a customer who asks you to set the hormones on his gootar or set the
geographic EQ on his PA? Back when Peavey came out with the Pyramid shift on their amps
I had a fella ask me what that paranoid button does. I told him he must have been turning it cause I think it was working on me.

Ah, actually my dictionary says lee' ver is the correct pronounciation. Or was that a joke and I missed it. It's still early for me.
