Oh yeah...from the inside front cover of the catalog. Nice gtr.
I've always wondered who ended up with this blonde one, from the back cover...

And it remains stunningly beautiful even after all these years.

Absolutely beautiful......

The more I look at them I'm increasingly convinced that I should own at least one PP.

Marty,

After an amazing journey through a few different guitars, I played a p/p. Then I bought the D10 cut-tail I have now. I can say with all veracity that I have the guitar I always heard in my head, and I cannot think of any reason to have any other.

Chris' guitar used to belong to me and for 30 years, I always mourned selling it.

But, all's well that ends well......I was able to eventually snag this venerable old axe from Jim Palenscar a couple of years ago.

marty...i know how you feel. you've just got to own one once to get it out of your system. it's the same as having to experience an old harley at some point in your life. ...and a good old tele!!

you may not need to keep them forever, but you'll never be happy til you try!

Hi Marty

Congratulations on the purchase of your 66 bolt on. Let us know what you think of the tone. It doesn't get much better than that.

You need to own at least one PP at some point in your playing career. They sound terrific and play great when they are set up right. Smile

As to lacquer guitars, they all look terrific even if they are a solid black color.

I purchased this 1975 black lacquer guitar a while back and its one sharp looking and great sounding guitar. The striping looks white or faded in this picture but its actually yellow.

I don't know. Mine's identical to that one, except that it has aluminum necks...and some knee levers, of course. Winking
