Hey guys. I know what my opinion is about these type of events. I want to hear from fellow forumites. What do you say when asked to play one? Yes or no and why?

Thanks,

James

it can be fun. especially if you and your band are good! i look at it as healthy competition and a chance to show what ya got. it's also another good place to network with other players.
it's not good for people with a big ego and not enough talent to back it up.

warning!!:: contests usually don't get judged fairly, or as you thought they should. so you can't 'expect' to win.

That's right chris. The blind fiddler wearing a head bandage in a wheelchair playing OBS will win it every time! Shocked
