For starters, it looks like the first and third strings are missing, along with a huge chunk of the body on the far side. |

I'll betcha somebody tried to turn that into a slide guitar. Wonder if it has strap pegs...
Doing that is tantamount to saying "I really don't a darn about my Uncle Phil...." who left it to him.
