The Radial ProDI is a passive direct box that combines exceptional audio performance with solid dependable construction, making it the ideal general duty direct box for stage and studio.
The heart of the ProDI is a custom wound Radial transformer. It features an exceptionally high 140k? input impedance to reduce loading while enabling the ProDI to handle extreme signal levels at all frequencies without distortion. This is further improved upon with an internal mu-metal shield to protect against electromagnetic fields that can cause unshielded transformers to distort.

Bump for a great deal on a top notch DI box.
You seldom see these on the used market. Folks hang on to them. I've compared mine to many other DI's and it always sounds the best, plus it's extremely sturdy and passive (no batteries). Whenever I show up on a big stage with one of these, the sound crew always gives me a big thumbs up. It gives them peace of mind that you're sending them a good signal. Before I got this, they would always insist on making me use one of their DI's.
It's great for recording too because it's quiet and clean and has huge bandwidth. It won't roll off the bass like some other transformer based models, and the highs are simply beautiful.
You can spend more on a DI but other than some of the bells and whistles of a good active unit, you won't gain anything. I've never regretted buying mine. A truly great product. |
