Wakarusa Amps 5e3 Tweed Deluxe Clone

I got this from a guy on The Gear Page , here is his desciption of the amp

" Wakarusa Amps 5e3 Tweed Deluxe clone. It was built for me by Todd Shock, of Wakarusa Amps (Wakarusa on TGP), back when he had his shop in Indiana. I’ve never met a more knowledgeable guy than Todd when it comes to building amps. He is especially nuts when it comes to Fender circuits. His builds are built to last using only high quality components.

He had his transformers custom built. This one can use either 6V6, or 6L6 power tubes. All you need to do to run 6L6 is flip a switch and swap the 5Y3 rectifier tube for a 5R4. It’s cathode biased, so no need to bias the amp.

It currently has reissue Tung Sol 6V6 power tubes, NOS GE 5Y3 rectifier, NOS GE 12AY7 in V1 and NOS 12AX7 in V2. I don’t remember what it is and it’s not labeled with a brand of any type.

The speaker is a Weber Classic AlNiCo (P12N), which was an upgrade. I thought it sounded great, so it was worth the price.

The cabinet is solid pine. If I remember right, Todd had these cabinets built by the guy who used to build the cabs for Blues Pearl amps. Note: The back isn't on for the gut shots, but obviously it's included.

As far as sound, well it sounds like a Tweed Deluxe. It gives up the goods early, but it cleans up extremely well with your guitar’s volume knob. I love the clean tone of this amp! The amp is in perfect shape and it’s ready to go"

I have a new set of 6L6s and a 5R4 rectifier that can be used with this amp that I will include.

It is a great sounding amp but not exactly what I was looking for, guess I'm just not a "tweed" tone guy.

The back panel comes with the amp, just not pictured.

$725 shipped within the cond USA, I'm not looking for trades at this time.

This is one of my prospective builds.
This is a great old school amp, especially for bluesy lapsteel, but also guitar.

The build quality and parts are top shelf on visual inspection.
Love those retro Webers too.

I wish it wasn't more reasonable to build one than ship this to here 12 time zones.
