Just wanted to mention that the Fullerton City Museum is hosting the final week of the Leo Fender Guitar Memorabilia Display near downtown Fullerton, CA. The first guitar made was vintage 1943, and looks almost like a lap steel. They also have a 1948 lap steel on display and a 1953 Fender (non-pedal) double neck. UKnfortunately, no pedal steels are displayed. A video that constantly runs shows Alvino Rey playing an Hawaiin song and doing some pretty fancy harmonics on what appears to be a double neck Fender (appears to be in the 50s). I found the visit worthwhile.
