Use a stomp box. I own 2 twins and they are clean and clear. The deluxe reverb is more for the dirty tone above 5 on volume. There is a ton of stomp boxes out there to choose from. Cheers!

Keeley Red Dirt Overdrive sounds good w/my Tele and Twin w/JBL's.

Have you tried turning the master volume down and the other volume control all the way open, if it has a master volume?

You should have a master volume pull boost on that year twin. If so, when pulled out it goes to a drive circuit. I never cared for the sound of that boost and never use it. I turn the master up full on and control volume at the channel volume control. A dirt pedal is the only real option. YMMV

I had a '73 Twin that was also a bit too clean at times. I think the '75 also has the Master Volume, which I always turned up all the way and forgot about it, adjusting from the channel volume.

I use an MXR Micro Amp to give me a little gain here and there, put a little more rubber on the tires..
