I'm looking for a delay pedal that plays well the the EFX loop in an amp. I don't need tap tempo or more then one second of delay, but if it had those features I'd be OK. I have my trusty Ibanez DM-2000 rack delay, but I really want something to go on the pedalboard.

What do you like?

Best would be a unit that replaces the spring reverb, using the reverb connections. It could stay in the amp where the springs used to be.

I don't want to lose the reverb, just add delay (echo) to an amp with an EFX loop. The delay would be on the pedalboard with whatever other stompbox effects I use are.

The Boss DD-3 is a reasonable basic delay and used by many steelers. The DD-5 has a few more features.

There are also a number of "boutique" pedals out there but the DD-3 sound like what you are looking for.

About $129 new. Widely available used including here on the forum.

Hope this helps.
