I want to put a feeler out for this pretty little 1969 Sho-Bud 3x3 round front (Serial# 7993). Beautiful color and wood inlay. I am a Fender cable guy and not well versed in these guitars but it is definitely in good playable condition. The three floor pedals are Emmons configuration. The knees are as follows:
RKL – Lowers 4 & 8
RKR - Lowers 2 and 9
LKL – Raises 4 & 8
There is a bracket for a LKR, but no lever or linkage.
The pickup appears to be original. Perhaps someone can tell from the photo. It has strong output with beautiful bell like tones. Sounds amazing through my Fender Twin.
The original knee levers have been replaced and function correctly. There is a bracket for a fourth lever, but no linkage. Tuners all function perfectly. The case is in very good shape but is missing one of the four latches. It still latches very securely. Not much more I can tell you.
The undercarriage works well, but is not original Sho-Bud parts. It is a mix of different non original parts and it plays just fine. Because of this I can't sell the guitar for what an original would go for. I think it would be an equal value trade for a
60s Fender 1000 with the cam style bridge. If you have one and are looking for a nice S-10 let's talk about a trade.

I have learned from a forum member that the undercarriage is not stock Sho-Bud. It is in fact a mix of some different parts. Because of this I can't in good conscience sell the guitar, so I am changing this to a trade only offer.
In spite of this disclaimer, it does play very well, stays in tune, sounds fantastic and is nice looking. If someone has a 60s Fender 1000 that they would like to trade for a nice S-10 let's talk. |
