I just re-strung and tuned up my new 10 string non-pedal steel.

I ordered THIS SET OF STRINGS from b0b here on the forum. I also ordered 2 individual strings of 0.036" and 0.060" gauges, to make the changes you see in the attatched chart.

I've always liked the 6 string version of C6 with the high E string. I also like having the C# in there.

I don't know what my tuning would be called, but the top 7 strings make the C6/A7 tuning. With the D-F-A on the lower strings, I'm sure it becomes something else altogether. I've noodled around with it for a couple of hours now, and I seem to like it pretty well.

I had a six string in C6 with the C# on the bottom and found it really useful. I'm back to just having a C there now. Until I get my D-8 up and running I wont know what to do with the lower strings.

I like to see what other people are experimenting with and what they do with different tunings. It's an endless universe.
